IPL 3 circus continues… now only the Finals left

IPL3 has now completed its penultimate match leaving only the Finals match. Both the semifinals were won by teams batting first and keeping their heads despite the pressure. Both of the losing semi-finalists were between by themselves more than the opponents, pitch or the environment. They both had good teams and players who could have won them the match. However circumstances came in the way of their winning. I recollect a statement that was once said about an Indian team, that the losing team had “stolen the loss from under the nose of victory”.

However that said, there were a few players in the winning teams that played their hearts out and stood out. Either by batting, bowling or fielding better than expected. Pollard from Mumbai Indians and Badrinath and Jakati from Chennai did the trick for their teams.

Meanwhile the circus continues outside on the sidelines. Jokers and Artists are all working hard to make this a better circus. As far as I am concerned Modi is the person who ran the IPL well and made it the success it is. Sure there were others who did their parts but he was the public face of the organization. Bringing him down to earth is not going to help the IPL franchise n the future.
